I feel like Peter Pan

Well, unless you have been living under a rock lately, you probably have heard tTaylor Swift's new album that came out last week. I, however, was not one to rush and buy it and drool all over it because normally her songs are just too much of the same to me. One of her songs really stuck out to me, and that one is called Never Grow Up.

I was listening to the song tonight, and after being home a few nights, I am feeling the same way she does. It is hard for me to think that I will never return back to my house for good, and each time is only a visit. Even if I had to return after I graduate college, it would not be the same. It makes me sad, and makes me miss home some days.

When I am home I appreciate the small things, like a couch and Disney Channel to watch, or my mom asking me what I want for Breakfast and not having to worry about fixing my own meals, or her running to the store to get a poster board I need for a project. Stuff like that is what I forget about, and I miss as I get older.

Here are some lyrics (Yes, I am being a cheese ball!):
Take pictures in your mind of your childhood room[purple walls, butterfly quilt]
Memorize what is sounded like what your dad gets home[door alarm beeps, and footsteps in the kitchen]
Remember the footsteps, remember the words said
And all your little brother's favorite songs
I just realized everything I had is someday gonna be gone

(Dawson Dance Recital)
So here I am in my new apartment [dorm]
In a big city[or just a new city], they just dropped me off
It's so much colder than I thought it would be
So I tuck myself in and turn my nightlight on

(Halloween, many years ago)
Wish I'd never grown up
I wish I'd never grown up
Oh I don't wanna grow up
Wish I'd never grown up
(Homecoming Parade, Sophomore Year)

So I may sound like Peter Pan, and all sappy, but tonight the girls on the hall were talking about how great our families and home are. Now, do not get me wrong, I love Auburn (and the now #2 Tigers... post for a later day,) but there is nothing like home.[can I click my heels like Dorothy?]
Love yall! Have a good week.. mine is extremely busy, with Homecoming activities and 2 tests!
