orphans of god

hello blog world,
i am sure you all have been checking every day for my post (NOT!), and as a blogger i apologize for not writing as much as I had when school was going on, I just do not feel like I have as much to tell you about. I mean how many of you want to hear about how I went to the dentist, or babysat, or picked my brother up from school, yea.. didn't think so.

so I finally have a major and I really am excited about it (that's a good sign right) so after 3 major changes this year I am now a MATH EDUCATION MAJOR!! I am sooo thrilled! I just hope I can survive all the hard classes. I am so thankful for the people who messaged me and just gave me advice.

on Friday I am leaving to go on a mission trip with my church to Ecuador, I had been looking forward to this trip, but wasn't that excited until our "soccer practice." I think being away from church and missing the meetings made me feel out of touch and now that I am home I am really getting excited.

There is a song we sang on Chapel Choir tour called "Orphans of God" which Avalon sings. I keep thinking about this song as I prepare for the trip.
"Come ye unwanted and find affection
Come all ye weary, come and lay down your head
Come ye unworthy, you are my brother
If such a thing as grace exists
Then grace was made for lives like this"

I ask you to keep our travels in your prayers and the work we will do down there. We are planning on using a soccer camp as an outreach program. I fear that the kids are going to 'school' me in soccer, and I will look like a dork. Oh well! Whats new? I

Anyways, I am sure a big post about my trip will follow... I spend my birthday in Ecuador.. lets hope they dont make me eat a guinea pig!

so talk to you after my trip.. it will good to be away from words with friends, new naughty miley cyrus songs, mamma goldberg nachos, and my cell phone.
