Window into the Weekend

this past weekend was a quiet one.

started friday off by going to the baseball game. it was FREEZING! and after that i went to call outs for WEGP and then my first trip to Tutti Frutti, i will say i was slightly disappointed.

saturday, annie and i went to columbus, georgia for the day. (I drove.. must say, big step for me!) We hit up some boutiques and tj maxx and marshalls, and ate at TGIFridays, it was just fun to get out of auburn for a few hours, and be in a different time zone.

That night we went to Fiji's White Trash Band Party, there were not the usual crowd there, but my moto is that "something is as fun as you make it" so we made it fun i think!

sunday, is in the making, but i am currently enjoying sitting at the computer blogging with the windows open and Steven Curtis Chapman playing (thanks SaSa for the CD!). I went to FBO this morning, the traditional service, and it was an intense sermon on wrath. I love that church, i miss it when i am in Birmingham.

I have mentioned this in a previous post, but i am reading this book Having a Martha Heart in a Mary World, which is about finding intimacy with god in the busyness of life, and every chapter continues to speak to me and teach me something. I wanted to leave you with two quotes from the book. I LOVE quotes, so i thought i would end my post with one!

"Our Father Longs to Pour his very life into us, to give us an inheritance and share in his divine nature.

What does God DESIRE? It is actually very simple.

He wants YOU. All of YOU"

and this one..

"If you struggle to stay at his feed, ask the Lord to reveal what is hindering you. There is no need to lay aside your intellect or your personality when you enter the Living Room. Just come as you are. A child of God."

I hope that you have a great day, and thanks for reading. Can you believe that tomorrow is MARCH!? AHH!!! Where has freshman year gone??
