baking weekend

Last weekend a random cold front (for May) came into Birmingham and since I was not in the mood to be freezing at the lake I decided to work on being domestic and to make some of the recipes I had seen on pintrest.

I made Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites
 Expert's atempt
the ones I made (via mobile upload)

The recipe was so easy and so simple, and believe me I am no baker/cook!

Just need
: 2 tablespoons softened butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
Pretzels
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside. 2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat peanut butter and butter until combined. Scrape down bowl, add sugars and beat until combined. You should be able to roll the mixture into balls without sticking to your hands. If needed, add more powdered sugar until you reach a consistency that is easy to roll. 3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 teaspoon of mixture for each ball, and place on prepared baking sheet. Sandwich the balls between two pretzels and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Now, I have a long way to go before I can call myself a good baker but hopefully I can continue to improve! I am going to make a page at the top to document my progress to becoming Miss Domestic.
my next recipe to try!
Have a good weekend! I am looking forward to celebrating this weekend at the lake and my dad's birthday!
