Do you have like a set group of songs you listen to in the morning? I sort of do and I picture it like my soundtrack and like I am in a movie and being filmed.
After I hit the snooze button an unhealthy amount (I need rehab for this problem) I like to turn on some jams (and the Today Show, of course!)...
I like to blare "Walking on Sunshine" and sometimes I even dance around to the song (I feel like the girls who dance at the end of the Clean and Clear Morning Burst Commercial)... as lame as it sounds I promise it makes your morning that much brighter..
What I feel like in the mornings
Then I move to something like "Firework" by Katy Perry to make me feel motivated for the morning..
And finally as I get my make up on, sip my Diet Coke, and eat my bagel I put the Ben Rector CD on (it is probably playing as you read this).
These songs somehow have a way of making my mornings so much better... and even this rainy morning I am up early enough to write. As much as I hate getting out of my warm comfy bed, I really do enjoy the mornings and find most of my thinking and learning to happen best during this time.
Moving notes.. I saw this video on The Today Show and thought it was so funny how the twin brothers could talk to themselves. (you may want to pause the music at the very bottom of my blog to listen to this)
Anyways, Happy Hump day to you!
